That was a good link. It's totally what some people need to listen to when playing online. Perhaps some soothing music is just what is called for to counter some of these rageaholic tendencies people are having. In the rage thread, people were punching holes in their walls when they got sooo pissed off. They need to go watch the dolphins swim against a backdrop of soothing music instead :) _________________ Give me a lever long enough and I shall move the world. - Archimedes

I would like to program something that plays music in the lobby. I wouldn't mind listening to dubstep in games, and relaxation music in the lobby before/after games.

I wonder if you could read that from a memory dump...
I'm not sure how you can work with blizzard apps in terms of APIs

It might be easier to just use keyboard shortcuts. Here's how if you were interested:
1. Create a shortcut to your music playing application, Ex: Winamp
2. Right click on the shotcut and select properties. Paste your "Lobby" song to the end of the target path. For example, here is what my target looks like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\winamp.exe" "C:\mp3\Massive Attack - Teardrop.mp3"
3. In the "Shortcut key:" field, press the shortcut keys you want to use. Ex, I used: "Ctrl + Alt + L"
4. In the "Run:" field change it to minimized.
5. Apply changes.
6. if you wish, you can rename the shortcut to "Lobby" if you wish.
7. Repeat the same steps for a new "Game" shortcut. Except instead of linking to an individual mp3 file you might want to link to a playlist file. And assign it a different shortcut key, Ex: "Ctrl + Alt + G"
8. Create a new shortcut. For the location of the item(Target field), enter:
taskkill /im winamp.exe
Replace winamp.exe with the filename of whatever program you are usign to play music.
9. name the shortcut "StopMusic" or something like that.
10. In the shortcut's properties, assign it a "Shortcut key" of "Ctrl + Alt + S" or whatever you like.
Now you can play your relaxing lobby music by pressing "Ctrl+Alt+L", your game playlist with "Ctrl+Alt+G", and stop music with "Ctrl+Alt+S". I have not tried this in starcraft yet but it worked ok with my work apps. _________________ Give me a lever long enough and I shall move the world. - Archimedes

yeah I actually don't really listen to the music while I'm playing (too distracting) but I just find uptempo music makes me play harder (my downfall is that I play lazily)
