Late Game Multi-tasking

Hey Axo & Kith,

This isn't a specific tactic question, it's more of a general help question. I do fairly well in the beginning of the game. I've worked out and learned some decent build orders. My problem is later in the game after I've expanded and launched several attacks on my enemies. I find myself forgetting to keep up production of replacement troops.

Any suggestions for improving my "multi-tasking" ability? I've been getting better but I'm wondering if you have any specific recommendations for me.

Cheers

Howdy,
Basically a few things you should try and do to make multi tasking easier are: Keep raxs and temples and such grouped. So say you are dualing at 9 and 11, and you have 6 barracks. Instead of having 2 of them at 11, and 4 at 9, keep all 6 of them at 9. Now there is drawbacks to this, because if you get hit really hard then you can't group ogres up and defend and you lose all your barracks. But hopefully this won't happen, hehe, and in a 1v1 if it does happen you're probably dead anyways then. As for other hints, try using the space bar. I use it all the time, have been for about 8 months. Its good for when you're in those non laggy games and everything is getting hectic and fast. If you don't know what the space bar does, then try it out and you'll be amazed. As for any other multi tasking hints, there really isn't any. Its just a matter of playing a lot. See most of the really really really good players have played for so long, that when they build say 9 ogres from 9 barracks. Then they go around and do a few other things (like attacking and building peons), they will come back to their barracks and be hitting "o" (USE HOTKEYS IF YOU DON'T) just as the ogres are popping out. Its because we just sort of know how long it takes for things to build because we've played this game for too long. Hehe, other than that, practice practice practice.

and one more thing, try and revert from clicking on the minimap alot... instead just look at the minimap... that way your constantly at a useful position...

I used to click on the minimap alot just to look at useless junk, but i quit that habbit, and i think my game has improved a bit since..

Since you guys talked bout "how to improve your multi-tasking skill" Well Im not sure if you guys mention about hot keys like.. crtl 1 crtl 2 etc... group them up It helps me to duel constantly with replacement units but the problem Im having hard time to expand and making peons in same time while i duel anywhere.
