is there still a real lack of community? thats what really killed it for me when i beta tested it. Just random matches vs random people takes all the fun out of what made war2 so addictive

beyond that, those of you that are addicted to it what is its real selling points? why should i spend $60 to play it?

depends on if you are good. The community at teamliquid.net is strong. There are tournaments you can join every week that has regular big names in it.

With the ladder, if you can get to the 2k+ diamond level you will play the same people from time to time.

the community/chat system itself is more of way of how you socially network yourself with and within the game... so ur friendlist is basically your chatroom... and i'm not saying that's good or bad- just a different way to view the community

the game itself is truly great as far rts goes.

i havent fully tested it out yet but i believe you can create chat rooms with real ID friends (the friends you make via email)
