Whats the deal with it? is there going to be league championships or anything? a time-line ever posted? anything?

I think they have an invite only tournament at blizzcon , i'm not sure when they'll finish the ladder season. i'd guess in 6 months

Also, it is really hard to climb the ladder unless you play a ton of games.

I don't think the way they have it with the consistent increase in points for the top of the ladder works.

Basically (when your bonus pool has 0 points in it) if you win vs someone even to you, you would gain 10-12 (lets say) and if you lose vs someone even to you, you lose 7-10 points.

This leads to when you win 50%, you gain a few points each session. I know they have the ladder set up to match you up with harder/easier opponents to stay near 50%.

But say I log on, and go 3-3 for the night, i gain a few ladder points, it just seems weird.


There should be a few people at the top of ladder with a great W-L but less games played, but all the people up top have >1k games, its crazy.

check prime has 61% wins, and like 1100 wins, how is he the same as someone with 57% wins and only 280 wins?!?!

yeah those stats mean nothing....who knows who each player played and when they played.


Bonus pool is a bitch for those who play every day. Look at my division http://sc2ranks.com/div/16064/division-torus-november I keep catching up to the guy in first then he comes on and plays til his bonus pool is gone and jumps up like 75+ pts. I play like 6-8 games a day and only get like 40-50+ pts or so.
