New Forum
I guess I've been appointed a moderator.
The great thing about Pimster's idea (I think I brought the same idea up to Axolotl a while back) coming true is that some of the really good information, especially gaming information, will be easier to find on these boards. It'll be more usable as a way to help eachother with problems gamers have and stuff. Less name calling and more informative meaningful posts.
I look forward to working together for once like they do on other boards to fix problems and solve issues as a team.

As long as he doesn't ban anyone out of a grudge, there will always be the other forum for him and the other contender to take up such issues.

As far as "prejudice towards certain members", I'm not sure what you mean. I don't recall requesting to be a moderator of Axolotl's, yet I would help him with the site anyway he asked. So I will moderate this forum as I see fit. Axolotl will let me know if I've over stepped any boundaries.
Let me add that I have not pre-judged anyone but I do think there are too many people here that don't have anything constructive to offer the other visitors to Axolot's forums. If you don't believe I should be moderating this forum, it's best that you take that up with Axolotl or Kith-Kanin.
There must be a reason he appointed me a moderator, and there's always the other forum if you find this one too "strict".
I don't think I've thanked you for this good idea Axo... Every person who touches my PC fiddles around with this forum because I only have a few bookmarks and this is one of them, sometimes people post some good to know stuff on this forum and sometimes I'm worried when my niece is poking around my PC (which she does often).

I personally think that STOOP|D would be a good choice as a moderator. He hasn't really done anything to break the rules or offend anyone. The only thing I can think of that would cause any problems is his signature, but that's an old, dead gag from a long time ago.

I meant your 'location.' It's not like anyone even notices it or cares about it anymore.

I wouldn't be a good moderator; there's no reason for me to delete any posts. Frankly, I don't see a difference between the quality of posts in the 2 forums.

That's because the quality of posts are pretty much identical for the time being. The fact you've also drawn that conclusion doesn't detract from your abilities as a moderator either. I'm sure that most of the moderators have come to the same conclusion you have, and they're not really doing anything about it for the time being. Anyway, it's only a matter of time before they start cracking down on what's currently the 'Test Forum.'

What about very intelligent, possibly witty posts that go right over someone's head?

How have any of the posts he's made on the other board been worse than what was allready there?

There's a difference between being a 'free thinker' and between forcing someone to abide by the rules. On a side note, you really can't state what he will or will do until he gets the position. He does have the qualities to become a very good moderator, however.

Wow, what a great moderator, he'll never ever delete a post.
The fact that he's critical of himself makes me
more
likely to believe he would do a good job, not less.

Eradicate understands me well =)
1) The only real responsibility of a moderator is to monitor and delete posts.
2) I would not delete any posts.
Therefore, I will not be a good moderator, unless you want me to just have the status for some reason.
Good/bad posting is really a subjective thing and I'd rather mind my own business. What you've done is just block off Skechers and co. from this forum to please everyone who loathes their posts.

This would be a reason to get rid of avatars, or at least the ones of tseuG, Ocram and SYL.
