I'll check it out, it would be rather amusing if there were some sort of hidden War2 community hiding over there lol.

Well, I checked it out and it's ok but I dont know how well it would work. It does NOT create an IPX network. Instead it creates a VPN. You can see your VPN IP in the bottom left corner of the client window.
I saw Ganz logged in but he was ignoring me lol. So since it's a VPN, you will need either the IPXWrapper app which I linked in the other thread, or Dosbox. Either would work. You can also use TCP/Con for using the "Direct connect" via serial which only allows 1v1. Since it uses VPN, I would not expect the latency to be that great. Kali would probably be a better option still over both voobly and anything else. I dont know what the community on Kali is like, but I suspect its probably non-existent which defeats the purpose of finding new players. It would however solve hosting issues.
Heres a video on someone using Kali in 2013.

No, it's still $10. But the free trial is 30 days long and you can keep re-registering as many times as you want but it's a pain.
BTW, this is an example of a site that has integrated Dosbox into it's service.

Click on the War2 link and it will present you with a couple options to "play" the game. Use the "Play NOW! .NET" version as the "ClickOnce" thing didnt work at all for me.
It's the old War2, 188MB DL, but it does work. There were no games running of course when I tried it, but it does indeed work just fine. I replaced the DL'd war2 with the RU version and it worked as well but I did have to rename a lot of files to get it to fire up. It would be easier to just send them the RU installer and have them add it to their service the correct way rather than jerry rig it like I did to test it. Someone could probably convince them to replace the old war2 version with RU's version or perhaps add another entry for it in case there are players that like to play with the lumber bug and no shared vision, etc.
The other thing to note is that it also uses Dosbox to actually play the war2 game (which isnt actually necessary but hey it fixed the color problem lol). This means it's being emulated and not played directly on the OS like we do now. The colors are not all fuxored up which I found interesting.

Tungle is pretty meh overall but you can see the potential for getting new players on an established gaming site which is why we need Voobly to get their shit together. I just logged on Kali and its totally dead. _________________ Kali IGL:

kali rox. if anybody wanna play there ever im always up for it.
I remember back in like 2003 or so I used to go on Kali sometimes with some of my old kali buddies and we would play there with pkt:3 and the unit response was absolutely mind blowing. It was like playing in single player mode. _________________ Kali IGL:
