KeSPA players @ MLG playing SC2

Anyone else see this? Flash, Stork, Jaedong, Bisu, Fantasy, Calm, SoulKey, Leta played an 8-player tourney in SC2. Really great stuff, dunno if they're re-streaming.

To me it's more the principle of what made them so great.

-- SPOILERS from here on --

It is great seeing Flash do so well; it will be something else seeing him compete with pro gamers, in addition to his already popular kiwikaki game. Did anyone impress you? Apart from Flash of course, SoulKey looked pretty damn good, seems he almost took a game off of Flash.

From the games I saw(JDs 2 games and the finals), it seems that all of them are mechanically on par. However, it is tough to judge their overall skill until they play some current top players.

Best part of KeSPA pros coming to MLG?

Aren't a lot of these bw pros already dominating the korean ladder? I don't think it's going to be very long before they're making the current pro gamers look like newbies.

Flash himself said it will take him a year to get on par with the current sc2 pros. Id like to see Flash play DRG or MVP but it would be so one sided it would look bad. Also you gotta take into count that they still have to play BW for the Proleague until next season.

Ladder doesn't mean much on the korean server. Most pros such as DRG, MKP, etc. just have set practice partners they play with and just goof off on ladder while streaming for added revenue. They obviously aren't going to do set builds, because it would be extremely easy for their GSL opponents to get their build timings.

I think it has been determined that Flash is high masters. I think it will take about 6-8 months before the KeSPA players are able to compete toe to toe with current top SC2 players. The amount of improvement from week 1 proleague to the MLG tournament is absolutely remarkable.

I honestly dont think that any of the current BW players are even practicing BW. With OSL individual league announcing that they will switch to SC2, there is no reason for any of them to practice BW. My guess is that maybe 1 or 2 players will stick with BW so they can try to clinch the last BW title.

I dunno, I've seen some replays of them already being competitive against other pro gamers. They aren't at that level yet but I don't think the skill bridge is that long that the truly skilled bw pros won't be dominating in a few months.
