Cheaper upgrades for toss and an emp nerf for Terran.

Untill emp gets a cooldown, and HTs get a speed boost, it won't even be close in the caster area.

I think the toss double chrono forge style is going to get more popular with these changes.

Definitely, however, i never noticed those upgrades untill the 3rd one (noticed on my income), so i can't comment on those changes.

this seems like it's balancing the game in the wrong way. Instead of making the game balanced , they're just saying "ok, now toss are going to just win because they have faster/cheaper upgrades"

I think the upgrade cost is the same as the other races now. It was over priced to start with for toss.

Also, toss is the weakest race right now. Apparently in korea TVP is a 60% win rate for terran. That is a huge gap.

There is now, Baz just crept into number 10. And that's the sub-par American ladder. On the Korean ladder, half the top 10 is terran.

Meh, ladder is all about who can mass the most games not skill or balance.

The reason terran is so low is because terran vs terran games generally last like 30-50 minutes compared to an average of 15-25 for protoss and zerg. Thus alot less ability to mass as many games as the other races.

Tournament results prove how imba terran is. Constantly 70% - 80% terrans in basicly every top 16 gsl, infact i think there has only been 1 PvZ final ever, every other 12+ gsls have always had a terran in the final and most of em been tvt finals.

Lets not forget that over half the top 10 in the Korean ladder are terrans.

What sucks is this game is balanced but once HOTS hits it will be unbalanced again. Not to sure I like a new expansion every few years.

I'm kinda meh about SC2 lately. I think the fact that I get so frustrated by losing is what's killed it for me, and that frustration stems from the fact that I don't think the game IS balanced in a lot of circumstances. I used to think that my rage was just because I had some anger issues but realistically, I think it's just because I want this game to be fair and balanced, and I know deep down that it's fundamentally broken in many ways.

I've played lots of RTS games and every balanced one that I've played, I've never really gotten angry. The imbalanced ones, I usually don't care that their imbalanced and laugh it off. With SC2 it's like I've got a supermodel girlfriend that keeps fucking other guys

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the expansion, but I agree that having 3 expansions released over the span of 5-6 years is stupid , especially for a game as complex as this. There's a reason that historically, good RTS games have 1 expansion pack released within a year of the original. The game is already made, they have a year to make it better and just release an expansion pack to 'finalize' it.

I feel like with this structure, they're putting less priority on making a finished product since they know they can just fine-tune and change it as time goes on.

war2 is unbalanced too (lust vs non) but people have been playing it since 95 every game there are some units/races better than others.

If Blizzard just stop making patches and expansions from now on, people will stop complain about imbalance because every game would be T vs T. Problem solved.

Of course war2 is slightly imbalanced, everyone knows this.

Humans sword is ridiculously expensive ($2400 gold??). All they did is go 500g/100w X 3= 1500g/300w And did the same for humans, but it's not a good comparison at all.

Lust is incredibly strong, and runes are nearly impossible to stop.

Lust needed to be about 100-125 mana to make this game perfectly balanced. I also would have like to seen Fort upgrade take longer. Right now, nearly everyone just skips through Stronghold to go to lust.

I was just talking about lust. I think how it works is perfect, it adds another layer of apm skill keeping your ogres lusted and catching ogres unlusted..

Maybe just skip to fort but that's part of the game.. I think the timings are quite good

Hold is not considered a stage of the game. Something is wrong with the tech timings.
