i dont know why people hate on seige tanks so much, or they used to hate on seige tanks. Seige tanks used by newbies are almost worthless, but used by a good player I get pwned by seige tanks

i usually try to just expand and take control of the map while they are turtled into their base, but if they pump off 2 bases up to 200/200 of MMM with a handful of seige tanks (and vikings to stop my aerial assault of his tanks), i get raped every time. Doesn't matter if I am playing zerg or protoss, if I try to fight the army head on I get owned by the tanks, if I try to pick off the tanks without engaging, it requires heavy micro and if hes taking care of them I'll get spanked while im trying to get the tanks.

especially on all those maps where the 2 natural bases are so well protected by the main bases, he perches up 1-2 seige tanks on each his and his partners ledge and there is no way to really harass the expos by ground. So you basiclaly have to let them sit on their 1base+1xpo each and try to squeeze them out of the game slowly.

Problem with that is if you lose one battle you are dead.

^^this is mostly regarding 2v2s

same reason people say high templar suck, they're not as good as their bw counterparts despite still being huge beasts

Siege tanks are working really well for me. I've used them to destroy MMM balls, mass hydras, break 'toss chokes, etc.

This recent ffa I played, a terran with a 200 mostly marine army started raping every other player in the game. Yet when he got to my base his army was quickly destroyed by a handful of siege tanks. I'll post the replay later.
