lol @ the idea of god being taken seriously like it needs to be meticulously researched and disproved by serious people in a lab coat.
religious beliefs will have died out completely in hundreds of years time. _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"

like this seems to imply that atheists have a mental problem or something or are inherently antisocial. which might be true lol _________________

actually i don't know for sure about DMT being released after death, it has not been found to be fact yet. i don't care either way, but it would be cool.

not really because fundamentalism is a blatantly modern phenomenon and in many parts of the world is still quite popular and even growing _________________

the fundamentalists were already religious to begin with and just became more extreme in their views, it isn't breeding more religious people. _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"

The ONLY way that would happen, and even then it wouldn't be 100%, is if you could routinely kill someone in a lab and leave them dead for days on end and then bring them back to life and have them tell everyone what they saw, if anything.
I don't see that happening in the next hundred years.

i didn't say a hundred years, i said hundreds.
also people have died and came back to life and experienced nothing, albeit for minutes not days. why would the length of time matter though? _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"

why would religious fundamentalism appeal to non-religious? _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"

because it offers an alternative to the neoliberal postmodern condition _________________

hmm, seems it 50 years ago the USSR was teaching atheism in state curriculum, and 30 years ago even the democratic people's republic of freaking afghanistan was promoting state atheism. pope wasn't let into cuba from the revolution until 1998. and so on. the world is getting a lot more religious _________________ i zero bagged your mother

it's not relevant at all. what governments are doing doesn't correlate to all people. _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"

the Russian empire (predecessor of the USSR) was a highly religious state, the democratic republic of Afghanistan was still a country of devout Muslims (as evidenced by the strong opposition against taraki and amin's reforms of giving women equal rights, universal education , etc lmao) regardless of the fact that it was nominally regarded as state atheism, the pope being banned in cuba had nothing to do with religion but more to do with the fact they were symbols of decadent capitalism. _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"

the central asian soviet republics had state atheism for like 70 years but remain majority muslim. if the most just and good state in the history of mankind can't make people abandon religion through the promotion of state atheism perhaps nothing can _________________

they guys who implemented these reforms were probably religious themselves, but were still smart enough to know church and state should be separated. _________________ "i don't have pet peeves, i have major psychotic fucking hatreds"
