How does masters league work? I'm 2000 rated diamond. Am I high enough to get in? Do you automatically get in or are you going to have do placement matches again after the reset?

You have to start all over again with the placement matches. I just finished mine, lost one. Ended up in gold. Bleh.
Repairing scvs now count as an equal threat as a thor, so yeah it's been fixed. _________________ Give me a lever long enough and I shall move the world. - Archimedes

when is it live??
I highly doubt people will have to re-do placements on the live battle net server to get into master league

A: There's no predetermined period of time the PTR will be available. It will remain active until we feel the patch has been appropriately tested.

Every other time they have changed the ladder rungs they did a ladder reset. I would expect the same with the master's rung. _________________ Give me a lever long enough and I shall move the world. - Archimedes

yeah I just don't see how they would reset ladder without having an end to "season 1" or whatever it is... everyone who played all the games to get wherever they are in the ladder... no tournament or anything... might upset some people, unless they keep like a screenshot/portrait of it in everyones profile to refer to

I'm probably the best War2 -> SC2 transitional player on this planet.

I kinda disagree. The only time I lose to zerg is because of muta/ling. I just can't get the phoenixes out enough. Sure you can micro them and what not, but phoenixes were tough to get out en masse.
As far as terran though, I still wish they'd reduce marauder hit points and make up the difference somewhere else.

Only NA user can get the BETA patch(and I think SEA users if they use the NA servers). You can still play on both realms if you install the beta patch, sc2 maintains 2 separate patch levels for the 2 realms. Just run sc2 normally to access the normal realm. Run "StarCraft II Public Test.exe" to access the beta. I did not have to do anything special to download the beta. I just logged into SC2 like I always do, and it downloaded the small patch exe automatically. I then launched the patch exe, and it downloaded the rest of the patch. Was huge, over 500MB uncompressed.

Q: Who can participate on the Test Region?
A: For the current phase of PTR, we've selected players with these criteria:
* The player has had an active StarCraft II North America game account before 11/11/10.
* The player's account is not a guest pass account, and is not suspended or banned.
Q: Are there plans to allow players from other regions to participate in the PTR, and will they have their own regional PTR?
A: We would like to eventually open PTR access to players in other regions. However, we are currently working out the details and there is no ETA for when this may happen.
Q: How do I participate in the PTR?
A: When the PTR is available, a retail patch will add a new executable file named StarCraft II Public Test.exe to the StarCraft II game directory. To access the PTR, go to the StarCraft II game directory and run the StarCraft II Public Test.exe executable.
A small patch will be downloaded to install the PTR client the first time you run it. Eligible accounts will already be enabled for the PTR so there's no sign-up needed for this phase of the PTR.
Q: Can I still play the retail game after I install the PTR version?
A: Yes. The PTR data is stored separately from your primary game data, so you can continue to play the retail version of StarCraft II by running "StarCraft II.exe", or you can play the PTR version at any time by running "StarCraft II Public Test.exe" instead.

But tos air is very strong in any case, didn't need buff (the last void change actually made them useful before charged). Gateway units need some buff imo.
EDIT: Regarding marauder, it needs to be that strong for tvt.
I think the reasoning for the VR buff was as a hard counter to Colossus in PvP. Many toss players were complaining PvP was "broken", too many "war of the worlds" games.

I was talking about the void when the charge got nerfed but damage before charged got increased. Not the latest buff to massive.

I haven't logged on in over a month. I kinda feel like these features would have kept me playing. At this point I don't think I'm going to play seriously until the expansion pack

Ditto. Protoss were 1 dimensional before the 1.1 patch. After patch 1.1 they lost all variety of play. The game seemed pointless after the patch as a toss player. Atleast with this they gave toss some real viable tech tree options other than robo. _________________ I have hacks in my brain and I use them.

But it should be easy to program - dont see why they're holding this feature back.

Why bring back a gay clan channel to represent all of war2? Create a channel called War2. _________________ I have hacks in my brain and I use them.
