Upcoming Tournaments
I was doing some thinking and was coming up with ideas on tournaments we could have for Starcraft 2.
Long Running Tournament
I think getting everyone on the forums to sign up for a round robin tournament that takes a while to complete would be a fun competitive way to help gauge people's Starcraft 2 talent. The tournament would be slated so everyone plays everyone else in a Bo5 match (which could be done over a long period of time). Points are awarded for every game a player wins. Using that we can give everyone a relative rank.
Weekly Single Elimination
How do you guys feel about having a weekly single elimination tournament that will take a couple hours to finish (provided we don't get too many players). The double elimination takes forever especially on the ICCup maps.
Prizes
I know everyone probably has trust issues with everyone on these forums but it would be fun to have tournaments with prizes. The best way to accomplish this is to have an entry fee to play in the tournament with cash prizes for the top three finishers. It could all be done via pay pal but it does require a little bit of trust.
Just some thoughts let me know what you think. _________________ --Frostbitten

I'd be interested in this. A 5-10$ entry fee really isn't much, and you'd have to be a broke piece of shit to ninja 50-100$ (or any amount, really). It would also add to the trash talk. I'd suggest taking a vote and letting a trustworthy person hold the paypal prize pool account.
There are people who will undoubtedly dominate and continuously take the prize pool though, so that is something that most of these scrubs will have a problem with.
Even without a prize pool, our own long running tourney or private ladder would be cool. A few of us are sure to scrub the bottom ranks, but it would still be fun imo.

entry fee is pretty stupid. There are like 2-3 players who would win every time. No reason for others to even try.
Entry fee should be bragging rights, imo. Egos play a big role on this forum, more than money. _________________ "I tend to thougoughly enjoy my encounters significantly more with 120+ types, as I find them more stimulating. 100-110 people are okay too operating at full capacity." - Paper_Boy
