nice man.. I'll try to be there if u need any help. Also I think we should make all of the maps iccup maps, they're WAY more balanced than blizzard maps.

I assume you have to play SC2 on iccup (if possible?) to get some practice in on these maps?

All of these maps are available on the NA server. You create a custom game and search "iccup" and they will appear, among others. Except for Python, you have to search "tsi python". you can download them that way. There is no iccup server for sc2. they basically just take part in the community (hosting video streams, making maps, hosting tournaments on the bnet servers)
Once u download them you can play vs comps or with other people. I don't think hosting them publicly is very popular though because of the popularity system and how games are displayed (these are like 40 pages down the list)

couple things: this is technically the third war2 tournament. you've got 6 maps in the pool , and 2 of them aren't official iccup maps (although one is listed under the iccup name - heartbreak ridge - python is tsi) The description says the map pool is 5 iccup maps. It should probably just say 6 professionally designed balanced maps or something

I like the iccup maps. Maybe do half & half? Metal/LT/Scrap/fighting spirit/valhalla/python, or something like that.

I feel like recreating the sc1 maps is like some people with too much time on their hands saying "I wish this game were sc1 and I'm sure it'd be better if we played on sc1 maps". But the main problem with sc1 maps is they were all the same. It was necessary for balance.. but in sc2 the races are all more versatile and we don't need every map to be the same

I don't agree that pro custom bw maps were the same at all. I don't think you've really played much of them if you really think that. The guys who made the maps I had suggested also made a bunch of other new ones. I just picked the bw remakes because I was familiar with them and I'm starting to get sick of playing imbalanced blizzard maps. I'm sure there's tons of great custom maps out there, I just went with what I know. If you or anyone else has any map suggestions, I'm pretty sure that frost hasn't set it into stone that we'll be using these ones.
I have been playing a lot of custom iccup maps since I posted this and I have yet to be disappointed. Only complaint is that python has a shark that swims in dirt.
