KOTH
Ok, I am starting a KOTH for sc2
rules: best of 7 - loser picks opponent's race AND map and they can include iccup maps
First game is played on Valhalla
http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Valhalla
I am the KOTH to start because I am obviously the best player here.
Any challengers?

This seems to be setup to favor the random player. I have not played a single zerg/toss game on the ladder, nor any iccup maps. But hey, if that's your thing go for it. _________________ Give me a lever long enough and I shall move the world. - Archimedes

I haven't played any of the iccup maps yet either I thought this might be a good opportunity to try them out. I've been playing zerg for the past 50-100 games or so. I just thought the rules might make it more interesting. We can negate the rule for anybody who doesn't feel comfortable, but there will be an * next to their name on the hall of fame.

im the new king.. taking challenges.. as the new King of the Hill, I would like eliminated the "loser picks race" rule. Stupid rule. I had to play 2 protoss games and 1 terran game when I have a combined total of like 10 games in solo with those races. _________________ "I tend to thougoughly enjoy my encounters significantly more with 120+ types, as I find them more stimulating. 100-110 people are okay too operating at full capacity." - Paper_Boy

Loser picks opponents race. So I lose and make you play a race you blow dicks with, you lose and do the same to me. We repeat that process until one person wins 4 games because of that dumbass rule. 100% unfair to the person who doesn't play random.
I won't be taking anyone's KOTH title anytime soon, but that's still a retarded rule. wtf you thinkin tman?

I put up with your dumb rule. Now that I am top shit, I think its only fair that I can declare some rules. _________________ "I tend to thougoughly enjoy my encounters significantly more with 120+ types, as I find them more stimulating. 100-110 people are okay too operating at full capacity." - Paper_Boy

well there's a few reasons..
first of all it eliminates boring mirror matchups
secondly it's a better test of overall skill. Sypher played pretty well using other races anyway .The last game he did a pretty good 4 gate push with protoss. Albeit my girlfriend just got home from work so I was doing some proxy hatch all in ling rush on heartbreak ridge(which is a cool ass map btw). And he played pretty standard builds in the other games too
I had fun. Some of the games were lame because Sypher kept picking terrible blizzard maps like blistering sands (in a zvz no less) out of fear of the unknown. That might give him double pussy stamps, I haven't decided yet.

4-2 for him I am going to demand a rematch some other day when I have time to get warmed up and I'm not burned out from being in meetings all day. I'm pretty sure I will blank him.

*calls other guy a pussy for not wanting to played by a retard gimmick rule*
*loses 2-4 to said person, who was playing with a giant handicap, and still manages to have about eight billion excuses for why he lost* _________________

I'm Frank Mir'ing his ass.
Also he agreed to the rules when he challenged me. The only thing he bitched about was our first match (zvz), which would have been every single match if it weren't for the rules.
Also civ 5 <> sc2 gtfo this thread is for people who play good games

-offracing doesn't show a better test of skill. It shows how easy it is to curb stomp people who are offracing vs your main race.
-I forge first expanded on a map I never played before
-I absolutely raped you ZvZ. It was zero contest. Z is your main race.
-I picked the three best blizzard maps. I even got spot fucked on metal and still managed to rape you.
Basically what I am trying to say is.. When you get raped, you stfu. _________________ "I tend to thougoughly enjoy my encounters significantly more with 120+ types, as I find them more stimulating. 100-110 people are okay too operating at full capacity." - Paper_Boy

lawl.. you picked the worst zvz map in the game because you wanted a cheese fest so I wouldn't humiliate your main race. Luckily it was a smart move because I was playing very tense from not having warmed up and being drained after a long day.
Also I don't know how FEing on a map neither of us know (When it was clearly designed to be able to FE on) is a detriment compared to putting me as protoss on a map that is probably the worst pvz map in the game (undefendable natural, giant rush distance)
You picked the three best strategic maps for your race against mine and used known safe build orders every game. I picked new maps and randomly chose your race, improvising my strategies in the games and was playing at 20%. I would probably say that I won just based on these factors alone. I will rematch you this saturday. I will blank you (you will not win one game)

I am convinved that I can beat you all day long sypher. I'm ranked higher on the ladder (playing random) and I've got something you don't. Natural talent.

Then why cant you take a single game off me when I am playing Z?
Rank means nothing on the ladder. In my division, the #1 ranked person has 2k points. In fact, if you compare our divisions, the top 30 players in my division all have a higher rating than the person who is #1 in your division. What a newbie division.
If you have so much natural talent, then why can't you break 1k rating? _________________ "I tend to thougoughly enjoy my encounters significantly more with 120+ types, as I find them more stimulating. 100-110 people are okay too operating at full capacity." - Paper_Boy

lolllllllll I haven't played random for a while, I just picked zerg because I felt like they were more advanced and if I ever wanted to relearn the other two races, I could do it in 10 games. zerg have a lot of nuances the other races dont have.

Also I can beat you sideways using any race. Your Z is not very good. I beat better players than you on ladder all day long. My division is 3 weeks older than yours since I didn't buy the game immediately , so that's just a cause of inflation. And I've already broken 1k rating. I want a rematch
