not yet, will get through em through tonight / tomorrow. But some of the well known Euro players who went to Korea got knocked out in the qualifiers like Jinro and Nazgul - I guess they were only even decent earlier in the beta but should still be pretty damn high level for what's out there.

lol wtf, watching the first game and the camera has been zoomed off in the corner of the map for 2 minutes while they're commentating on action out of view - so horrible. Ah they finally fixed it

I pity the fool that pays to watch a computer game being played by other people.

30 bucks is a bit much. I'd have paid 15. 30 bucks and isn't even high quality video. You need to pay 50 bucks to get the good stuff. Pretty lame if you ask me. This is all the result of Blizzard taking profits from GomTV I think.

You'll be a sucker paying 20 bucks to watch a bunch of nerds play a computer game.

20 bucks is my limit. I'll have to see if it is a rip off by how much content I get to see.

You should drop war2 doug. Check out SC2.

Only for live I think. And wow does the quality suck for the prime streams. I have 10 Mbps connection and look like 360p

Is it a year though? Looked like it was for one season to me and the question is 'how long is a season?'

The quality of this stream in today's streaming world is horrible. It is literately 360p. You cannot have people paying money for any thing less than 720p quality.

I havent looked into the pricing - i watched em for free. But if it costs some $$ I'd support it to help get the sport off the ground - otherwise it'll just disappear. GOM has been trying for years to get quality english speaking audience friendly Starcraft broadcasts off the ground for years, obviously they need some cash to do it and it's a cause I'd get behind. In my experience their tech can be a bit frustrating though ;(

the live streaming is actually really good. The Low quality straem is obviously not as clear as some streams like MLG/IEM, but it is clear enough to watch. Compared to older gom streams(for their bw tourneys), these streams are 100% better. No lag, no drops, nothing.

The level of play isn't that good, yet. I guess that is to be expected since the game is so new and it is the Ro64. Next round the competition should start getting interesting since the newbs will be weeded out.

from what I am gathering, the 20 bucks is for one month, there's a tournament every month scheduled for the next 12 months so basically you're going to be paying 240 bucks if you want full access for a year. I read "season pass" and just assumed that it was for a full year, or at least more than 1 month but I guess every tournament is somehow considered a season?

Yeah, those damn koreans. I'm probably not going to bother paying for any other "seasons" but I'll let them keep my 20 bucks. I'm just kind of blown away by the cost.

I am pretty sure a season pass = 3 months.

Originally, GOMTV, who secured broadcasting rights from Blizzard earlier this year, stated that while the event would be free to watch for those in South Korea, there would be a price to watch the streams and VOD’s for viewers outside Korea.

After a large outcry from the Starcraft 2 eSport community, GOMTV changed their minds and will offer a free live stream along with a much reduced price for the Higher Quality live streams and VODs ($20.00 for 3 seasons instead of $30.00 for 1 season).

The free stream will only be available to watch live (which means if you are on the East Coast like I am, you’ll have to be up at 5AM to watch the first rounds).

The TG Intel Starcraft 2 Open Begins This Weekend

Obviously people will not pay 20/month. GomTV is not stupid. We'll see just how long a season is. Clearly you cannot have more than 4 seasons in a year.
