Revelation of smurf names...
Currently, if someone does not send an ss on request, then they will be banned for 1 week, and their main aka will be revealed.
One argument is that
all
aka's be revealed upon request, to enable players to ban the banned players from their games should he/she decide to circumvent their ban.
Another argument is against the revelation of all aka's as it is seen purely as a spiteful act in which the accuser solely seeks to damage the banned player's reputation even more, thus making the request "vindictive".
The final argument is that The_G0D is quite a legendary Warcraft 2 player, some say the best to ever grace these lands, and he shouldn't let this worry him, because not even hackers can come close to bringing him down from the #1 title of being the best Warcraft 2 player this side of the cosmos. _________________ <[TD]ViRuZ> You have balls...I like balls

I think it makes some sense to reveal all known names... that way people will know which names may have been hacking against them in the past.
Like, say (obviously completely hypothetically) KHB was playing on his own name and got caught. Then I look at the aka list and see 67mph on there. For everyone that's lost to 67mph or been considering him very good, doesn't it make sense for you to know he was caught hacking on another name? Also this would prevent him from just switching back to 67mph, taking refuge there, and being considered legit by everyone even though he just got caught hacking.

obv yes. what wrong with your pro hacking policy?
but we could think of exposing only 20+ games akas, just to ignore the worthless, unknown ones.

if a legit player decides to smurf and beat someone. His superior skills can be misstaken for hacking. _________________ GreenHorn: Nexus cried every time I beat him but still thought he was better.

It makes sense to reveal all known names, but not the smurfs.

Voted yes,
im shocked by the amount of players voting no
means they smurf to hack?
it would be great if the admins reveal akas as a standard procedure
currently u have to keep asking admin to reveal aka quite a few posts before blid replies, 'oh no, it was a nobody, noone important'
let me get this straight
I WANT EVERY SINGLE MOTHERFUCKING SMURF NAME OF THE HACKING IDIOT
thanks
i dont know about you but i have good memory, and i can ban even 'nobodys'
p.s. i didnt get any akas of my last 3 accusations.

What do you mean by known? Like names that everyone already knows? Or known as in, names with enough games that people know the name?

IF by smurfs you understand "semi(or well) known guy that came from nowhere and must be a smurf"... these accounts should be revealed
The "worthless shitty name with less than X games that nobody knows/remembers" is just not worth wasting our time (some players have thousands of 0, 1 or 2 games played on them)

I think it's really just a judgment call you need to make. If it's a name that's developed enough notoriety that people talk about them somewhat, than that's a known name. Your 67mph is a good example. I'd say that's a known name now.
In fact, I think you should probably tell everyone who it is right now to save yourself the trouble if we catch him hacking later.

I think Blid has gotten power happy. Happens to everyone who is given the littlest bit of authority. At first they are fine then later they find excuse after excuse to exert their power.
There is no reason to release every smurf name a person has used. If someone doesn't send an ss, you release their main aka and then ban them for a week(as is done now). The object is to stop them from hacking not to scare them off the server. If they get caught hacking again you ban them longer. This community lynchfest is barbaric.
War2 needs players, players don't need war2. Pretty soon you guys will only have your newb nephews to play. _________________ I have hacks in my brain and I use them.

It is rare that you know for certain if a player hacked. You just know they cannot produce an SS. _________________ I have hacks in my brain and I use them.

Arguing for rules upon rules is square. I argue for controlled anarchy. I would not call you square, primitive aggression is your motivation.

I'm serious, you're acting like a little schoolgirl, makes me want to do what my avatar is doing to you. I can't put it into words how much of a stubborn fucking dork you're being over this. "NO I WILL NOT PLAY ON THIS SERVER IF YOU WONT LET ME USE MY GRIDHACKS, WHICH CLEARLY GIVES ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER PLAYERS. I'VE USED IT FOR YEARS AND I WILL NOT PLAY WITHOUT IT! I REPEAT - WILL NOT!!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASONING, NONE AT ALL! I WILL NOT PLAY ON THE SAME LEVEL PLAYING FIELD! WILL NOT!"
