1) like people have said before there's not a lot of people playing beta, so its pretty hard to match you with the correct people. would you rather it take 10 minutes so you can get matched with people who suck?
2) platinum ranked teams are even more meaningless than platinum ranked singles. all you have to do is win all your placement matches, and since your placement matches mostly put you up vs noobs you'd have to be mega noob to not at least get in gold
3) stop whining so much about the matchmaking and learn how to hang in basic games, jesus _________________

Watch the replays and learn from your ass beating. You learn the most from playing your superiors, not scrubs you steamroll.

if you're doing well or poorly for your league, the system will start to match you with people from other leagues to see where it should move you to. to be honest i hear a lot of people complaining about the matchmaking system but it seems to work very well in my opinion at this point.
i've been platinum for a long time and i get matched vs platinum in literally 95% of my games. the only times i play gold is when it's like a rank 1 gold with 2000 points
2on2 might be a little less accurate since i imagine there are fewer 2on2 games than 1on1 happening, but it still seems fine

We went 4-1 in placements but I don't spam my units to pump up my apm so maybe that is why. I can watch replays all I want but that doesn't make up for my partner who doesn't. We are just having some fun. To answer your question, no I don't mind waiting a little longer to get.matched with someone more our skill level. We actually have had.some fun challenging games when were matched to our league and skill level.

well post on the battle.net forums and ask blizzard to please include a "wait 20 minutes to find more appropriate noob match" option then, although then i'm sure you'll bitch about how long it takes you to get a game going. i really doubt blizzard is going to take the time to do anything about this though, since 1) this is a **BETA TEST**, in retail there'll be so many more people playing it will be much less of an "issue," and 2) it's not really an issue for the majority of people, most people don't mind playing against higher ranked players sometimes, in fact many people want to so they can move up in ranks.
if you're really that scared of the match making system and just want to "have fun" just play custom games. no one else seems to really care about matchmaking, i think its fine _________________
