I didn't expect much from seeing this, but God damn! What a waste of $8. It's a decent rental in my opinion. The movie gives a new look into the vampires, as they are the best part of the story. They're ugly, ferocious and unstoppable. Seems too familiar to Dawn of The Dead and 28 Days Later and got me exhausted quickly. Josh Hartnett actually tries to carry the long overdone movie that clocks in at 2 hours. The unnecessary gore and shrieks in this movie were pretty nasty. If you enjoy blood go see it. Not worth $8, sorry.

Pros:
-New outlook on vampires
-Leader is pretty creepy
-Tends to get better from the middle, but then nosedives

Cons:
-Unnecessary gore and loud shrieks by the vampires
-You don't care about the characters that much
-Way too long, seems the movie is trying to be taken as a serious horror movie
