how do i defend a rush without using too much resources. i want the most effective and conserving way. if you can just elaborate on this it would be appreciated. anyone. see you on bnet.

seal up and make a cat!!

1. its a bit more expensive than a tower or an ax but, its might be one of the safest way to defend. They cant ot you cuz cat's can kill tower easily due to its range. If you make a guard, an ax or even a cannon then you are sorta screw if they ot you.

what happen to those fucking sorry ass viking??

Depends what spot you get and what map/res.

If you wall in, try and do it so that attacking grunts can't move into position to having like, for example, 4 grunts tearing down a farm. And build your wall-in so that all of your outter buildings are easily repaired. So basically, make all of your wall-in buildings so that you can repair them as fast, or faster than grunts tearing them down. If you find that you placed your buildings a bad way, you can always build walls around the exterior of your wallin, this limits the amount of grunts that will be able to attack it as they will have to manually attack each of the walls and destroy it before they can move into position.

Also, keep an eye out for chop rushes.

If you choke, or wall in, make sure that you are capable of stopping cats or towers. Hiding a few grunts outside of your base usually works vs cats, cause you can just pick them off unexpectedly.


Remember that when people cat, its usually with 2 cats so if you've only got one, you'll probably get raped.

Depends on the spot. 12 or 2, just choke the entrance and beware of axers, towers, cats and saps. Axers are sometimes the deadliest as your opponent can get them pretty quickly. If you have a wall in spot, wall in. Get a cannon or guards if you have to. Don't get any unnessessary defence. You should basically keep scouting your opponent to see what he is up to and how much defence you really need. The simple rush is the easiest thing to defend, it is his secondary plans that are the real threat.
