I don't think smurf accounts matter in that situation, people could just post from their main account (or from their smurf account if they're so inclined)

The problem with forums has always been this: this forum has been the War2 community's location for almost 15 years but it's not affiliated with the server at all and the guys in charge are pretty disinterested (what a great url though)

So the only way to go really would be to open a new forum and just have two forums. Most people would probably just keep using this one though, and the new one might not be checked that frequently. But really, people mostly come here for non-War2 stuff so it wouldn't be that bad to have a separate forum where new users can be approved etc.



as for that clashing image on the site, maybe if it had a border aorund it? like take that wood panel from the right side and slap it on the left part of the image?

I can actually do this between site and forum, IF we end up migrating the forum to forum.war2.ru or similar. It might even be doable with all three, but think of how many different akas most people go through. It would really only make sense with a one account per person policy in effect.

Not entirely true. With war2.us, the forums, site, and pvpgn users all used a "main" account ID to which none of the players were able to see as it was based on hardware and what not. But a similar method can be devised even without that type of an ID. It could be as simple as having the player manually link their accounts together via some sort of UI on the site, or as snazzy as war2.us got and have everything auto-assigned. This way ALL of the services involved could differentiate between the accounts. It's then possible to set 1 account as the "main" account. So if a player logged into the forums, it would only allow login via the main account. Or another method would be to allow posting with all accounts and simply but the main account in ( ) next to the account's name (maybe only visible to certain access levels, etc to keep smurfs hidden). There are lots of ways to do this so it's certainly not a "not possible" thing or a "must have 1 account" type of setup :)

i relaly prefer windowsxp paint over win7 paint. but yeah it's the green from the gow map running straight into the green from the background that kills the aesthetics, so you just need to separate em like i did there and BAM M BAMBAM
