Apparently in the last 20yrs, the term "Redskins" now is politically unacceptable.
"Disparaging to Native Americans"
Because coming over to their land and raping them and showing no assimilation between two cultures was not disparaging enough.
Like, Washington Wetbacks, or Washington Rednecks <--- That's racial slur.
Just because I feel like "racist and racism"'s definition have been lost and twisted:
The labeling and acknowledgement of different humans is not racist or prejudice.
HATRED towards the actually beings that are being labeled and judged - that's Racism and prejudice.
Simply subjectively changing their names for that reason - I feel the US Patent office to be blamed for racism for their decision on the removal of the team name "Washington Redskins"
