they're pretty good. you shouldn't eat them raw, but throw some breading or butter on them and fry them up and they're great

they sell ~$40-~50/lb here in Missouri... im hoping to find some good spots and sell a bunch Smile

yah peyote.

have tried it couple of times. don't like it.

and im not talking about it having the most disgusting flavor you can imagine .you can get past that.

i mean the effects
theres nothing fancy about it, you only get big ass dilated pupils and the urge to walk for 10 hours straight

huichol people use it topically for muscle pain. and shamans ingest it for meditation. pfft....

Took my 8 year old son out with me. We found a turtle that was literally crawling out of his hole for the first time in months (you can still see the dirt on his shell.. i wish i took a picture of him in his hole). Found 2 morels, and picked some flowers for the wife.

Not much activity as far as morels goes (we got a little lucky) but another two weeks or so and they should be out in full force! Smile

yeah. they are very slow moving creatures that put on a good show but have a habit of either playing dead or just opening their mouth and trying to look ferocious... i dont recommend anyone try it just in case but i've never been bit by one. if i find one like that i normally touch its mouth with a stick first to see if it will bite it .. if not i test my luck with my hands Very Happy

i was following another one through the woods later (i saw 3 today) .. it was pretty interesting. i was about 15 ft behind it, it had to know i was right there but it wasn't running away. as soon as i took a step towards it, it would hear the leaves crunching on the ground. it instantly took a step at the same time i was. as soon as i stopped walking it froze immediately. i would take a couple steps and it would take them at the same time. i would stop and so would it... not very intelligent creature i guess. it thought that if it moved while i moved, i wouldnt hear or see it... even though i was literally steps away from it.

funny to watch

Haha man you got some balls getting that close to that possum. My buddy's friend actually found an abandoned baby possum years ago and ended up raising it as a pet. It apparently made a pretty good pet since they kept it for years until it died.

i had one for about a week bobbo when i was younger.. parents made me let it go Sad

sparkz, this mushroom only reveals itself 3-5 weeks every year around here, its very difficult to find, and is considered a delicacy, and nobody has ever been able to figure out how to grow them, they just have to wait for nature to do the work.

i sell them for about $30-40 USD a pound... but really it's just a great excuse to get out in the woods, and the wife lets me do it because she loves morel mushrooms.

the kits aren't extremely successful from what i hear.

when i say they can't grow them commercially, i mean that pretty much every other mushroom can be grown in controlled conditions year round. morels will only pop up once a year for about 3-5 weeks out of the year even if the kit is successful.

Possums are ok to pet, but don't try it with an armadillo. They carry leprosy.

:/
