We used to own so hard with him doing the trickery (gay/multi hall/hopping everywhere etc) and me the dirty (usually grunt rushing) job!

Falkentyne was a huge pain the butt to kill if you got to late game. He wasn't as great up until that point though. So I would say maybe he's the player whose play style relied the most on being humans. The best orc players would own him early game before the race difference even mattered though.

I liked playing vs Falk the most since the games usually became very strategic and micro oriented since usually neither of us had many peons during late game (from them being killed, not us being noobs).

TOP 3 HUMAN PLAYERS = TOP 3 ORC PLAYERS
MOST HUMAN-ORIENTED HUMAN PLAYER = FALKENTYNE

I once won a game vs bam with an axer + half a grunt remaining in a team F game (in late game) where no one could build more peons and a couple of draws over the years...

how did his play rely on being humans? just because blizzard is better than d&d? or did he use slow and heal birds and stuff?

He used slow all the time and heal a decent amount (we played on slower speeds usually so heal didn't completely suck). He used poly/exorcism on your dks. He built extremely carefully walling in mages, placing gt's in perfect spots, using town halls a lot to wall, etc. He would play super defensively while moving invisible mages all over the place and annoying you with air/quick knight/demo attacks. Even if you broke in and raped his peons he'd always fend you off with blizzard and then hit your gold too, leaving you both with few peons. The games could take quite a while. Razz

Haha i do most of those things when playing humans, specially the walled in mages. I have a couple games up on youtube where I play as humans, I'm definitely no top player though like the creator of this thread is ^^^

Love playing humans though, alot more then I do orc. I always wondered why alot of people who do end up playing humans never research paladins just for at least the holy vision, heh you know exactly when they're vulnerable if you have a group of pallys for run-ins and you can constantly check for expos with no effort really.

You summed up falks game quite nicely and accurately.

I am surprised that nobody has mentioned KaliBOSS tho.
