because a little deeper league is more fun. you get to take more shots on rookies or weirdos and you have to reach a little bit harder to maximize your roster. 2 less teams * 13 players per team = 26 more players on the waiver wire = you'll never have that much trouble finding a workable player to add to your team

if you can guarantee at least 10 active teams, teams that stay active throughout the entire season, then i would do 12.. but you can't guarantee that.

if you worried about too many workable players on the waiver wire why not increase the roster sizes?

cuz then youd have lots of good players on your roster instead of on waivers. and with 12 theres still just as many people to trade with whether only 10 teams are active or not. anyway, who is to say the 11th and 12th people we add will be the inactive ones? if mowilliams finally joins and we get another guy, maybe theyll be active and help the league while shotgun abandons his team.

yeah the reason i was talking about ditching yall was because it seemed we wouldnt get enough teams. 10 is decent though, but id prefer 12.

mowilliamsmoproblems is phreak's friend, active last season and talked to phreak about joining this season, but he said he didn't get the invite. so i sent another invite to another email address phreak gave me and 5 days later he still hadnt joined and shotgun took spot #10. not sure if this guy mo still wants to join or not, if so he was active last time and we just need one more to go with him.

It shows the rankings based on where they finished in the pointless consolation playoffs. I wish it didn't reorder the season rankings, it's annoying. As you can see, he finished 8th, ahead of Skaven, Bears, and Nash.

MoWilliamsMoProblems was active and set his roster every single week last year. He just sucked and that was because although he has a lot of basketball knowledge he had never played fantasy basketball before.

I'm fine with 10 spots - I sent him an invite and he hasn't accepted yet and I'm not sure why. He might not think it isn't urgent as the season doesn't begin soon or he could just being a dud. I could talk to him and tell him to expedite the process and I could also find a 12th person probably without any issues.

I'm totally fine with 10 though as well. I'm neutral so i'll let the other two co-commissioners Jon/Blid make the deciding votes. Keep me updated.

Also, I just realized that Jon has never won a regular season. That means his teams can't compete and are not consistent over the course of a full season and get hot coming into playoffs.

Will this finally be his year to take both the regular season record and the playoff championship? Or will it be one of the other two powerhouses of Blid or myself? Or will it be an underdog who takes the belt this year? Will Tman draft bargnani in the first round? Will Shotgun or Dakine be the next Skaven? To be continued....

That's true about Jon not having won the reg. season but neither have I and you haven't won the tournament. As much as I hate to say it, the Jon franchise does have the most prestigious history in the league so far.

i doubt he set his lineup every single week, he would have finished with a better record. also he made only 5 moves, guys who were inactive for the majority of the season had made more moves than him. i mean the fucking dude lost to skaven!
i have no interest in playing with 12 teams again by bringing on two more useless players on top the the other ones we already have...

i don't know what you mean my team hasn't been consistent, i finished second seed both seasons and won the trophy both seasons, that is like the definition of consistent. i could also make a convincing argument that if it wasn't for the inactive clowns in our league i'd have finished first place ... for example last season queensbridge, the guy i was battling for #1 seed, played some inactive dude shortly before our season was about to end and won 9-0 lol... that probably helped him secure the #1 seed.
that's just one major reason why i'd like to stay at 10 teams and keep the useless players at a minimal.

i'm curious to see if shotgun with no knowledge in basketball can defeat turtleman
i'm betting he can.. he just needs to research a bit and set his lineup daily, that's probably all it would take haha.
