i don't think you can. blizzard is fucking retarded at times
the tooltip says you can friend add through viewing a profile, ladder, lobby or scorescreen. i guess the only way is to all join a custom game together

and what is the story with the "playtime added" and "playtime will expire at bla blah blah"
if they make sc2 a pay to play game, i wont play it out of spite, and im sure im not alone.

we can't add friends and there are no chat rooms, even if the gameplay is awesome, i would probably never play this game if this is how it comes out
but im hoping for patch 14 in about hmmmmm 14 minutes

its a bug. In certain regions, it will be pay to play (Russia is one I believe). The US will be free.
