Long awaited water tourney, 6/8
Hello all. Here is a link to sign up for the tourney: http://cgi6.igl.net/tourney/war2bne/4000552
Go there and click register. YOU MUST BE CHECKED IN BY 8:00 PM EST, go to that same url to check in on the day of the tournament, 6/8/2006, Thursday. Check in opens 7:30 pm.

The maps for each round are below:
Round 1: Horse Shoe Island, EF, high
Round 2: High Seas Combat (old), F, high
Round 3: The Spiral BNE, F, medium
Finals: bo3
Game 1 is FOC BNE low EF
Game 2 is X Marks random F
Game 3 is FOC BNE high Faster
alternate map is Four Corners EF high if necessary

It was a good tourney but small with 10 players.
After
RogueWave
advanced from a play in game, he lost to
Hazard
, who three halled on HSC old/F.
MycroftHolmes
also 3 halled on HSC and held on to beat a smurf who fast grunt rushed all 3 towns.
Burton
beat Lava-Dragon, who was a bit new.
Tyrus
defeated DamnUrSexy.
In the next round, the big game was Hazard versus Tyrus. This round was Spiral BNE/medium/fastest, and while Haz dualed, Tyrus got aggressive. His jugs busted Hazard's outer hall and despite Hazard pumping some dragons he was never able to catch back up.
In the finals, Tyrus easily beat MycroftHolmes in game 1 of FOC BNE/EF/Low, taking sea early as Mycroft tried to take all the expansions, and then going and killing each exp quickly. But it wasn't that easy for Tyrus, who lost game 2 on X Marks random (high) when Mycroft's jug rush trumped Ty's grunt rush. The final game was meant to be FOC/high/faster, but was accidentally hosted fastest. Like the first game, Tyrus and Mycroft were on neighboring islands, but this time Mycroft's grunt rush killed Tyrus's main, and Ty's jug rush did a bit of damage but was held at bay by cats and then finished with by sub as Tyrus surrendered and
MycroftHolmes
won the tournament.
